Scattered

This is an assignment that I got this past week. Its just to describe illustrate the word scattered. So I chose to illustrate some kids going for a ride in the wind on some dandelion seeds. I hand dyed the fabric and sewed and printed on it. I just started printing on fabric so I have a bunch to learn but I am excited about it.

Degree Project Pillow Book

This is one of my projects for  degree project. I am creating a "American Girl Doll" that  will have a series of cuddly books to go along with it.  This is the first book.

You Are What You Eat

This is a bag that will be in a show at school called Earth Fragile Planet

The bag that I am submitting to the show is titled You Are What You Eat. I wanted to bring attention to the issue of where we get our food and products from. Most of us go and buy our groceries and bring them home in a regular grocery bag with out the thought of what we got and what we are going to be putting into our bodies. This bag is half organic and half industrial. The organic side, all made from organic fibers, brings awareness of the natural healthy and earth friendly option not only to buying locally grown food but also to being aware of the products that we use when consuming, by reusing the bag and buying food. It also brings awareness to the natural organic good for you food that a local farmer produces. The other half of the bag brings awareness to the consumerism of the industrial food market. That our food is pumped with growth hormones and packaged in plastic and non reusable products that are not able to be reprocessed and used again. This bag will hopefully bring awareness to the issue of where our food and ideams come from and impact.
